Hotel Madrid

Hotel Madrid, a soaring and sweeping architectural statement on the corner of 7th Street and Van Buren in Downtown Phoenix, will offer distinctly urban and upscale accommodations for 280 guest suites. The hotel will offer 17,000 sf of retail and restaurant uses on the ground floor, with a second floor lobby for hotel guests. The 22 storey building will incorporate an amenity level for hotel guests such as restaurants and lounge and sports activities and a spa at the roof top level. The hotel offers a decidedly different option for the well heeled traveler, used to accommodations in cities such as New York, London, Tokyo, San Francisco, or Sydney. Unique and upscale design, modern interiors, attentive service all add up to a unique offering for Phoenix convention and business travelers alike. By way of example, a night stay at Hotel Madrid will average $350 per night. Hotel Madrid will not compete with the existing hotels so much as compliment the range of offerings in the Downtown market.

Hotel Madrid is a signature project in the Downtown core, not meant to compete with the average convention hotel, but offer a premium option for the Downtown guest, whether a business traveler, executive attendee at a convention, or discriminating individual. The more common meeting and entertainment spaces will be available in other venues nearby.

Construction is expected to start in 2009.
